Sunday evening church in Cebu, guest speaker, Pastor Jason

Bright and early on Monday morning, the team and a couple of Street Level staff took a ferry to Bohol for the next MTI class and a Street Level meeting.

Half of the team distributed flyers to students at the University of Bohol and Bohol Island State University to invite them to dinner and a Bible study. A handful of both new and returning students attended the Street Level meeting.

Please pray for lasting fruit from the MTI classes and Street Level gatherings.

The team is back together again!

Over the last week, some of the team have been in Cebu City doing outreaches with Street Level members to invite students to our weekly Bible study. Between giving away coffee and henna tattoos to flyering at universities, it has been a full week.

Street Level on Wednesday and the game night on Friday was full of new faces from the outreaches.

A mix of old friends and new faces joined the team for the MTI in Cebu.

Please continue to pray for the new relationships we are making. We are grateful for all of your prayers and support.

The team is currently split doing ministry on two different islands.

One group held the first day of our MTI class in Santa Fe on the island of Bantayan. Pastors and church leaders joined us to learn about developing small groups in which believers can apply what they are learning in the Bible, get to know one another, serve one another, pray for each other, and eat together. Tomorrow will be more of a practical workshop on setting up small groups and also doing a few small groups together.

Meanwhile back in Cebu, some of the team joined with Street Level to host a study/henna tattooing day, a printmaking workshop, and an outreach to tell new students about Street Level an also invite people to church.

Thanks for your prayers. They are felt and appreciated.  Please join us in praying for lasting connections with pastors, leaders, and students we have met.

Today we wrapped up our time in Leyte with a Youth Summit as well as completion of the 2nd day of our MTI (Ministerial Training Institute). For the MTI, we had many familiar faces as well as a few new attendees and spent time learning about small group fellowships and the impact they can have on our churches and ministries.

While our MTI was going on, we had a group of youth attending our first ever Youth Leader Summit on the island of Leyte. Our team from America worked alongside our brothers and sisters from Believers Church Cebu to conduct the Youth Summit which consisted of teaching on what it looks like to follow Jesus and opportunities to discuss this in small groups.

We are heading back to Cebu and have a full week ahead of various outreaches at local universities as well as more MTI’s on the topic of small group fellowships. We appreciate your prayers for a fruitful time here and specifically that those who attended would be encouraged to go back and strengthen their local churches and ministries.
