Friday consisted of prep for the Street Level Summit that was to kick off in the evening. It was full of rowdy (yet respectful) games, pizza, and an introduction to the summit topic on spiritual warfare.

The team got to share about the things God has been doing in the U.S., from WOTS, to the radio, to the SL house & more. Then the night ended at a hostel with a few grabbing Jollibees for a late night snack.

Saturday morning started strong with breakfast and devotions. The rest of the day was all about recognizing that following Christ means war, and learning about what it truly takes to stay in the fight.

We are back in Cebu City currently getting ready for the Street Level Summit.

Since we last blogged, a few things have happened: we finished the MTI on Bantayan Island, Nate & Liz got to teach at a young group in Bantayan on Wednesday night, we crossed back to Cebu Island on the ferry and we drove back to the city..

We finished up our first MTI in Toledo. It was fun to see new faces and great old friends and learn together about the New Testament.

The next day we traveled over to Balamban to meet youth from 8 different local churches. Our youth summit covered the topic of being unashamed of Jesus in all areas of our lives.

It was encouraging to meet so many young people who were stepping up to walk closer with Jesus. We were encouraged by them and we hope we encouraged them to keep strong in a challenging world.

After a great day with everyone, we said our goodbyes and see-you-laters and headed back across the mountain home to Cebu City. It was a beautiful drive and it’s hard to believe how much we’ve been able to pack into such a short amount of time. Thank you for your prayers back home – we’re definitely seeing God at work and can’t wait to see what else He has in store for us.
