The first Pastoral Training Institute class

We hit the ground running when we arrived in Cebu. Left on the motorcycle the next morning to drive and ferry up to Bantayan island to hold the very first Pastoral Training in the Philippines. This intense training will help equip and challenge pastors through Biblical education so that they can be even more grounded in the Word and preach with Biblical accuracy. The class runs all day for a week and today is day 3. It has sparked interesting conversations and fellowship. They are also excited about teaching resouces and commentaries available from our digital media library that Pastor Tim has collected over the years.

The Carpentry Continues…

From the Street Level Campus Mission in Mississippi!

Today we continued our work with the team from Mount Olive Baptist Church making bed frames and trying to put a dent in the generous amount of delicious southern food provided for us. In the afternoon some of our team assisted the church with Wednesday evening meal prep and delivery for people who can’t leave their homes.

For dinner we visited Wayne, the director of the Baptist Student Union at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Wayne made us dinner and homemade ice cream, and we had good conversation with him about his work the past forty years in campus ministry.
