Bantayan island joint pastors gathering…

Hey gang… thanks for your continued prayers! We presented both the Ministerial Training Institute classes and the new PASTORAL Training Institute Classes to a group of 75 or so and there was great interest in both educational tracts. A much bigger crowd than we expected so we were pleased. Keep lifting up the work here.. we need you! Heading back across the water to Cebu today…TIM AND SHARON

Tennessee Missions Team

Spring is officially here in the south, as we drive in the van each morning to the job sites we are in awe of God’s beauty and also thankful that he has allowed us to play a small part in his mission to the people here. Since our last update we have been able to complete the wood floor for a woman who has yet to move back into her house after 6 months. We have started working on another house- putting up sheetrock in a house that was down to the studs. Some of the team has been learning how to put in insulation and hang sheetrock. A good lifelong skill I am told to have!

Painting has continued in a house for an older woman who was able to stop by and meet the team working there and hear about her story of the flood. We hope to finish up painting in the house today to help her move into her new chapter as well.

We have finished laying all the tile in a house we started on Monday and are now preparing to complete it today by grouting and will be able to hand the house back over the homeowner so they can continue working on the rest of the house.

It’s been neat to hear each story as they come out, a neighbor may wander by, a homeowner or family member may be working on the house alongside us here and there or another volunteer from the Baptist Mission team, even a couple of people from the church we are staying at dropping by to hear how the work is going. There is still much work to be done here, but God’s been able to use the team to make a small dent in the large amount of work still left for those that live here. We will be wrapping up the work today and be heading back tomorrow home. Thanks for the continued prayer, filling in back home in our place, etc so we can be here this week!

Tennessee Update…

We are well underway in our work on the flood damage in Waverly Tennessee! We’ve had three different projects that the team has worked on: installing some wood and laminate flooring, painting the interior of a house, and installing ceramic tile flooring in another house.

The team seems to be holding up well. No injuries thus far and we’ve all enjoyed learning some new skills and getting a chance to work on things that many of us have not done before.

Please continue to pray God to work in us and through us as we continue down here. Also, pray for safety when doing the work, good hearts and attitude towards helping the people dealing with the flood damage down here to get their homes rebuilt.

Tennessee!

Our Street Level Campus Organization arrived safely in Tenessee Saturday evening. After attending church in Dresdon and Waverly on Sunday, they will observe the flood damage and get to work… Please pray for their efforts this week…
