All universities have officially begun the semester here in Cebu and Toledo, so we are looking forward to whatever God has in store for us this year. While the team was here, we covered every major university area with posters advertising our weekly meetings, our Street Level members are each working on getting a location to put up a big banner, and we are getting to campuses to personally invite students too. We are hoping to meet some new young people who want to know God and live for Him.
Last week we set up our booth outside of the University of the Visayas – Toledo. We had a quick game to play with students who wanted the chance to win a free cold drink, which was pretty fun, and was a way to interact and invite them to the weekly dinners and Bible discussions.
This week we started a new series “The Life of Joseph: real life faith” so we will be digging into the Old Testament for the next six weeks.
We would appreciate prayer, especially for:
- Meeting new students – ones that God is working in, who want to know Him more and live for Him
- Our current group at SLM Cebu and SLM Toledo – that they would be growing in their faith and love for God. That they would be passionate about and committed to living for Him.
