Recently, both Cebu and Toledo SLM groups had an evening of Pictionary and hanging out together. We warmed up our creative skills by playing “Telephone Pictionary”, where a phrase turns into pictures, and back into phrases, and usually ends up entirely different from the beginning. A lot of laughs and “what is that supposed to be?!” were had.
Then came the main Pictionary event and the competition was fierce. The teams battled their way around the board, showing off their art skills (or lack of art skills) as their teams guessed what was being drawn.
And of course, there was plenty of pizza and snacks to be shared too! As an organization we have nights like this because it’s fun to spend time together, but also, it helps us build deeper relationships with the people we are growing our faith with. Stay tuned for more to come!

We returned safely from our spring break trip to Mississippi! Check out a brief summary video of our week!
Another day in the shop—but only for half of us. For those of us in the shop, it was another productive day, breaking our record from last year for the number of beds built!
The other half went all around northeast Mississippi, delivering and installing over 15 beds between the three groups. We also spent time praying with the families, and everything went very smoothly.
To wrap up our work week, we hit the Catfish Country Buffet, enjoying our last hoorah dinner with those who mentored us throughout the week.
On a Friday evening, the members of Street Level Ministries Cebu and Toledo came together for an evening of fellowship and discussion. We were joined by Street Level U.S. current staff and alumni and really enjoyed spending time together, having dinner, and sharing stories.
The following day, we held a full day summit with participants from both sides of the island. We enjoyed a day of fellowship, worship, Bible teaching and small group discussion. The topic of the day was “Decision Time: Full Commitment or Empty Promises” discussing what it looks like to be used by God, verses being people who try to use God, and that now is the time to make that choice.
Today was day #3 here at the Bed Barn. There was plenty of work, food, and also a lot of fun.
In the evening 3 people from our team joined some of the church members in delivering meals to some shut-ins. They were able to spend time visiting with each person while we delivered the food.
After wrapping up for the work day we joined Mt Olive Baptist church for their Wednesday fellowship meal and service. It’s been great getting to know the people here and serving God with them.
We started our Tuesday off with a hearty breakfast at 7. Work started shortly after and we all quickly fell into place. Most of the retired gentlemen from yesterday didn’t make it back today, but a few brave souls decided to stick with us for a second day.
A few of us were blessed to ride along on bed deliveries with the ministry- we set up 3 beds across two households and shared the gospel with them. It was an amazing and uplifting experience for all involved.
Later in the evening, our group took a trip over to Ole Miss. We got to visit a fellow campus ministry, Rebels for Christ. It was so nice for us to see another fellow group following Christ, as well as being welcomed by their southern hospitality.
