We are headed to Chicago! The winter weather gave us a head start to leave a day earlier. But as God would have it we get to stay with some old friends at Jesus People overnight to catch our train tomorrow. Meanwhile in NOLA Tim and Sharon getting things ready for our arrival. Keep everyone in prayer as we roll with the changes!
During the month of February, we had 15-minute Bible studies and discussions at various locations throughout Cebu City. We dove deep into some of the crazy things Jesus said and talked about how to respond to Him.
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.” – Jesus (Luke 14:26)
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” – Jesus (Matthew 10:34)
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish?'” – Jesus (Luke 14:28-30)

GOD HAS A GRAND CALLING FOR YOU. It is a calling that will make your life count for all eternity. Finding and fulfilling this calling should be of the utmost priority of your life. The tragedy of our generation is that few individuals will find that calling, and even fewer will take the steps necessary to fulfill that calling. At times, it will be terrifying and incredibly difficult, but going to the depths of God’s great calling is a life that is worth living. At the Summit, we will take time discussing the depths of God’s call, the reasons we run from it, and what we can do to make sure that we experience it to the fullest.
We will spend the day at The Stranded Shipscook Inn taking a look at God’s calling through a case study of the prophet Jonah. In each session, we will study a chapter from the book of Jonah and conclude with small group discussion, so that you can personally engage with the material and apply it to your life.
