Cebu Trivia Night Recap

This past Friday we got together for a little friendly competition – a true battle of random knowledge – SLM Cebu’s first ever (I think) Trivia Night. Questions such as “how many kilos of pasta does the average Italian eat in a year?” and “how many Chuck Norris movies were filmed in the Philippines?” got us all thinking… and laughing at our sometimes very ridiculous answers. Peter and Jesse hosted the night, and acted as mostly fair and unbiased judges when there were disputes. And of course, in true SLM fashion, there was plenty of pizza and other snacks too. We are looking forward to hosting another Trivia Night as the semester starts next school year too, so stay tuned!

Cebu Staff Planning & Fellowship

This past Friday, our staff met at the office to talk about leadership things. We planned out the next month and a half, and they are going to be very full! We pray they will be fruitful too. Beyond that we talked “hopes and dreams” – things we would like to try to do in and around campuses in the future. We don’t want to be a ministry content with status quo, but always trying new things and seeing where God is leading. After the meeting we walked to a nearby burger joint and creative space to enjoy the night together.

Bonfire!

Street Level spent an evening around the fire eating, laughing, and yes, playing hacky sack. We enjoyed a cool but beautiful evening in the woods at the Believers Church campground. Enjoy some photos!

Coffee Outreach at UW-Stout

For the last day of classes of the UW-Stout spring semester, we headed to campus with the Street Level Coffee trailer to give away free coffee & cold press! We had a great time talking to people and telling them about Street Level and its ministries!!

Tagbilaran Pop-up Bible Study

This week a few of our members from the Cebu Island SLM took a day in Tagbilaran, Bohol inviting students to come to a “pop-up” Bible study that evening. We have done several of these in the past, and are planning to start a more consistent schedule for Tagbilaran. It was nice to reconnect with familiar faces, and meet some new friends as well! We are excited to see what God is doing in this city, and are glad to be a part of it.
